My gender does not affect my experience as a design student except to experience pity for the men who are constantly under attack due to “toxic masculinity” and disgust at how the response to abuses is to return it to a generalized group. I feel empowered to speak out against this as a woman because I am heard due to not falling under the group that is under attack.
