South Africa, Gauteng, Female, 24 and under

I feel that industrial design is a very male-dominated industry. It was initially difficult to adapt to the more physical prototyping, in which the males of the class had more confidence. However, I feel this led to a much deeper self-inquiry and motivated me to find inner strength and motivation to be the best version of myself, without comparing myself on a gender basis. If anything, the skew towards a male industry has made me appreciate my female gifts, ones my male co-students may be lacking.
