Sometimes I feel intimidated in group situations when most group members are male, causing me to question the validity of any points I have to make when speaking. However difficult it may be at times, I also feel empowered in a way— when I tell people what I study and my interest in construction, I feel proud to be a strong female in a male-dominated industry.
