South Africa, Gauteng, Male, 35-44

I think traditional gender roles such as the man being a provider and the woman a nurture are systemic issues in most societies, though it’s changing. As women tend to experience the “glass ceiling” phenomenon more frequently, this, coupled with pregnancy often taking women out of the work force for periods of time, minimises their opportunity for advancement on their return to the work force.
