South Africa, Gauteng, Male, 24 and under

Personally, my confidence has very little connection to my gender, yet I always am able to acknowledge the patriarchal structures that seem to either promote what are seen as masculine character traits or assume that factors such as one’s individual confidence can or should be attributed to gender. I would like young women to acknowledge their strengths and avoid allowing themselves to place their self-worth in the hands of young men who haven’t learned how to value women properly yet.
