South Africa, Gauteng, Male, 25-34

As a designer at a female owned and led furniture design studio, I have seen the inequalities not only at work but in South Africa’s design industry at large. There is still this ignorant idea that females cannot be leaders and innovators, therefore the larger and more well known design brands and studios are male-led. The conversations being had are still very much aimed at men, and then packaged differently for women.
