South Africa, Johannesburg, Male, 25-34

Directly, gender does not affect my experience as a design student. Indirectly, however, it opens my eyes to possible problems women in the industry may experience. I do believe that progress has been made in more diverse representation, but there is still a bit to be done in order for women to confidently feel that their work is taken seriously in the real world. We should also be mindful not to leave anyone behind be they male or female.
