UK, London, Female, 25-34

Working in the education sector, it is often so apparent that, despite higher female student ratios, the inequality in the creative industries are there from the outset. When asking who would like to pitch their ideas to the rest of a class, 3/4 times, the hands raised are male. Confidence in abilities, especially pitching and presenting, seems to be diminished far before university even begins. Women high up in the industry are often shown to be the exception to the rule, and the oft quoted ‘boys-club’ of advertising still rears its ugly head in meetings.
