UK, London, Male, 24 and under

I think that money and power doesn’t have time for ethical design or to encourage experimental explorations in terms of under-represented folks and sharing stories out of love and understanding.

I read in ‘Weapons of Reason’ that the world is lacking from long-term thinking within global leadership. I completely agree. Money and power is prioritised in this world. Yet life can be more so a learning experience when people tell their stories, whatever the platform; a performance, an artwork, an app or educational campaign.

If employers find a generic person who fits their needs, it’s a big tick! End of—next task. I feel as an under-represented individual I have a lot to say that isn’t generic. But that message may also turn heads in a way where money and power isn’t the priority, and employers don’t need/want this attention. It’s not necessarily “professionally productive.” But in my eyes, there’s such a populated world that we need stories now more than ever to learn from mistakes and adapt accordingly.
