My personal experience, prior to founding a design studio, has actually always been reasonably balanced. In fact, the studio I first set out at (and spent 10 years at) was a studio of circa 10, and 8 or so (on average) were female. So, although I’m very aware of the imbalance, I haven’t had all that much experience of it.
